If you needed to get away from your life for a short period of time (less than a week - 5 days at most) like Holden does in "Catcher in the Rye", where would you go? Would you escape to the country (somewhere other than Newcastle or Orono) or would you venture to a big city? Be realistic: it needs to be somewhere you can drive, take a bus or train to, and it shouldn't involve more than several hundred dollars.
In your response, outline the sorts of things in your life that you would feel like 'escaping', reasons why, as well as what you think such a trip would do for you. Please respond in full sentences and full paragraph format. Feel free to do some BRIEF research online to broaden your knowledge of the location you choose. Keep it school-appropriate, but have fun!
