Some of you have been asking what exactly I want you to do with your Opinion Piece. What I want you to do is:
a) Choose a band or artist that you think has had a significant influence on rock music over the course of their career.
b) Do a little bit of research regarding the band/artist- discography, hit songs, writing credits (do they write their own music/lyrics), etc.
c) Write a well-organized series of paragraphs (minimum of THREE: Introduction, Body and Conclusion) in which you convince me -aka the person who makes the decisions about the museum- that the band or artist that you chose SHOULD be inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. You should use a formal tone (avoid slang, etc) and use persuasive language and specific examples to prove to me that the band/artist you chose is worthy of such an honour!
Feel free to look up the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame- Wikipedia will give you some information, as will the official site for the Hall of Fame before you get started!
